DWC meets monthly at noon on the second Thursday of the month at the Community House in Beverly Shores, IN. There are no meetings in January, July and August.
Dues of $20 are collected on an annual basis in September.
The Community House located on Service Drive just west of the Administration Building is the pride of the Dunes Woman’s Club.
The house serves as the location for the monthly meetings, and the annual Holiday Marketplace in November.The porch of the house serves as a community library. Books are available for the taking anytime. Donations of books in good condition are also welcomed.
Historical records show that on June 28, 1934 the Chesterton Tribune reported:
“Mrs. Ruth Wollett entertained a group of Beverly Shores ladies last Friday afternoon and the organization of a women’s club was discussed. Those present were enthusiastic and seemed to believe that a woman’s club was necessary at the present stage of development of this lake shore development.”
The club was finally “officially organized” in 1939.
The club claims Blue and Sand as its colors.
Current membership is over sixty-five ladies living in Beverly Shores and surrounding communities.
The Holiday Marketplace is held the weekend before Thanksgiving.
2019 marked the 62nd Annual Marketplace.
The marketplace is the primary fund raising event for the year.
Items for sale include Holiday greens, craft items, breads, other sweets, frozen soups and casseroles.

August 1 The latest projects of the Dunes Woman’s Club are now available.
AND The long awaited 2019 revised Beverly Shores Directory is also available at the town hall. It, too is priced at $15 for one or $25 for two.
In addition, with the purchase of one printed copy, you may purchase a digital edition for your phone for $5.

“Keeping the unity in our community”
This is a quilt that the club made for the 50th Anniversary of Beverly Shores.
The 42 squares depict the different aspects of life in Beverly Shores and each exhibits the dedication and of a different member of the Dunes Woman’s Club at that time
The quilt hangs in the Administration Building meeting room.
The Mission of The Dunes Woman’s Club is to serve and enhance its local community by:
improving its members through education;
supporting other organizations through donations; and
providing volunteer service for community projects.
A beach bag commemorating our designation as a “Bird Town Indiana” AND the Lakeshore becoming the 61st National Park, shown here, is available at the town hall for $15.
