The Community House located on Service Drive just west of the Administration Building is the pride of the Dunes Woman’s Club.
The house serves as the location for the monthly meetings, and the annual Holiday Marketplace in November.The porch of the house serves as a community library.  Books are available for the taking anytime.  Donations of books in good condition are also welcomed.

The Mission of The Dunes Woman’s Club is to serve and enhance its local community by:
improving its members through education;
supporting other organizations through donations; and
providing volunteer service for community projects.

Historical records show that on June 28, 1934  the Chesterton Tribune reported:
 “Mrs. Ruth Wollett entertained a group of Beverly Shores ladies last Friday afternoon and the organization of a women’s club was discussed.  Those present were enthusiastic and seemed to believe that a woman’s club was necessary at the present stage of development of this lake shore development.”
The club was finally “officially organized” in 1939.

The club claims Blue and Sand as its colors.

Current membership is at fifty-five ladies living in Beverly Shores and surrounding communities.

June through August 2018:  Dine for the Depot.
Thank you to all who supported the Dine for the Depot events.
A portion of your food costs went to support the Beverly Shores Depot Museum.
That portion totaled just over $3000.

A hearty thank you to Jannsens, Chipotle, Rolling Stonebaker, Fiddlehead and Panera for hosting the event.

                                               One of the projects that the Dunes Woman’s  Club does every five                                                     years is to publish a phone/information book for the Beverly Shores                                                   area. The sales revenue becomes part of the club’s philanthropic                                                       endeavors.
                                               So a one-time payment for an ad will be good for 5 years. Books                                                       should be out early summer.
                                               As a side note, the women of the club invite businesses to advertise.                                                 What this says is that there have been positive transactions with the                                                 business…a vote of approval of a DWC member.
